Michael J. Kearney brings over 42 years of experience in the commercial electrical and communications industry. With a strong background in Services, CM@R, Design/Build, and tenant improvement delivery methods, Michael has been pivotal in driving the company's growth and success. Under his leadership, Kearney Electric has become a premier electrical contractor in the Phoenix area. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids and loves golf, baseball, and the outdoors.

Meet Phyllis Jones, the Chief Operating Officer at Kearney Electric & Communications. With over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, she's been rocking it here at Kearney since 2023. With unwavering dedication, she leads with a passionate focus on operational excellence, nurturing the growth and development of Kearney employees. Outside her professional life, she's all about spending time with her family, practicing yoga, being outdoors, and getting lost in a good book. Phyllis' best role in life is that of being Mom to her two sons. She believes in the importance of self-care and that choosing how we respond is the single, most powerful, courageous, bad ass thing a human can do.

Chris Moore

Vice President of Operations


Chris Moore has been a valuable member of the Kearney team since 2004, taking on a leadership role in 2009. He is known for his expertise in installing voice, data, fiber optics, video, intercom, wireless, and outside plant cabling across various settings like medical facilities, offices, and schools. Chris's background in the construction industry gives him a unique insight into all aspects of installation, whether it's new construction or renovations. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on outdoor adventures like camping, hunting, and off-roading. He's also a dedicated sports fan, supporting teams like the Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Suns, and Coyotes, and coaches football, baseball, and softball with his children.

Kyleen DeMember, SHRM-CP, PHR

Director of People and Culture


Kyleen has 20 years in construction with semi-conductor fabs, hospitals, schools, hotels, and other commercial work from small to larger projects. Key roles were planning, organizing, and executing HR programs. Restructuring HR processes and procedures in small and large organizations. Developed and led employee engagement programs, empowering employees to be their best version of themselves. Expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee retention, and development. Extensive experience in Construction and HR Management with emphasis in employee relations, HR operations, policies, and procedures.

 

Extensive background, forming bridges with employees and company initiatives. I work diligently in streamlining HR processes to accomplish business goals and advance the company’s core values, mission, and vision.

Jay Humphrey

Director of Pre-Construction


With a extensive career that spans over 43yrs in the electrical industry, Jay Humphrey has demonstrated his evolution from a Journeyman Electrician with Kearney in 1987 to his current role as Director of Preconstruction since 2002. His deep understanding of all aspects of electrical construction allows him to provide valuable preconstruction services and technical insights on every project, supported by a comprehensive knowledge of electrical code requirements. Jay's innovative approach to design build/assist support is evidenced by the tools he has developed, which drive Kearney's exceptional preconstruction services. His contributions significantly improve cost control, scope clarification, and constructability, showcasing his commitment to excellence in the industry.

Meet Jim Ferreby, our Chief Estimator at Kearney. With over two decades of experience starting from his time in the Marine Corps, Jim brings a unique set of skills to the table. His precision in estimates and expertise in electrical construction have helped him rise through the ranks. Specializing in Design/Build and Design Assist projects, Jim always has valuable insights to offer. Outside of work, Jim loves to travel and seek out new adventures. He thrives on the challenges of big projects and his dedication to excellence sets him apart. At the end of the day, Jim finds fulfillment in a job well done.

Dan Gunderson

Director of Electrical - Field Operations


Dan Gunderson is an experienced professional in the electrical industry with a career spanning over two decades. He joined Kearney in 2018 and brings a wealth of experience and a strong background in field management. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed large teams of over 200 electricians, ensuring the smooth execution of diverse projects. Dan's exceptional management skills and ability to solve problems effectively foster collaborative relationships with Field Managers and General Contractors, resulting in high-quality installations. Family is of utmost importance to Dan, particularly his role as a grandparent, as he cherishes precious moments with his grandchildren. Beyond work, Dan enjoys engaging in various hobbies including the solace of fly fishing and a passion for restoring classic cars, reflecting his hands-on approach to craftsmanship beyond the electrical industry.

Reagan Wieler

Chief Estimator


Reagan combines a robust construction management perspective with preconstruction planning, bringing practical on-site leadership while delivering value for owners and clients across sectors with extensive experience in high-tech, aviation, and mission-critical environments. Reagan excels at leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing complex change orders, and delivering large-scale electrical and infrastructure projects on time and within budget. He has hands-on experience buying out projects, coordinating long-lead procurement, and maintaining exemplary safety records on-site, with peak field team sizes reaching 230 electricians.

Nick McDonald

Pre-Construction Manager


Nick McDonald is a skilled communications and low-voltage professional at Kearney Electric, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. With a strong technical foundation and a commitment to precision, Nick supports projects from preconstruction and planning through project closeout, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and in alignment with Kearney Electric’s standards of excellence.

 

His experience spans structured cabling and a wide range of low-voltage systems, from day-to-day service work to large-scale construction projects. Nick is known for his attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to adapt in fast-paced construction environments.

 

In addition to his technical expertise, Nick values building strong relationships with clients and coworkers and brings a calm, dependable presence to every job. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hands-on DIY projects, working with tools, exploring new technology, and spending time outdoors and enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Serving as Director of Service & Facilities, Pace has 20 years of experience in the communications and structured cabling industry. His career began in the field as an installation technician—right here at Kearney—where he discovered a passion for building reliable network infrastructure, delivering solutions supporting customers’ success and continuing to strive for excellence in all we do. Over the past 5 years with the organization, Pace has grown through roles in project management and team leadership, driven by a commitment to clients, partners, teamwork, integrity, and quality. He believes in leading with transparency, supporting collaborative excellence, and continually advancing not only his skills, but also those of the entire team.

 

Pace is grateful to call Arizona home, having lived here for more than 20 years. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three daughters, who inspire his personal and professional growth.

Chris Bejune

Prefab/Warehouse Manager


Chris has been in the electrical and construction industry for more than 21 years, dedicating his career to becoming an exemplary leader and teacher in the field. He takes pride in managing teams of all sizes and setting clear expectations, working closely with a wide range of trades to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule. He has successfully led crews of more than 80 electricians; his experience in general contracting gives him valuable insight into how other trades operate and how to collaborate effectively.

 

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and four children—off-roading, camping, swimming, and playing football. Time with family and friends is incredibly important.
